How do I search for an Entertainment service in my area?
It’s simple! First, click on the "New Search" tab located at the top of this page (right side). This will take you back to the homepage area. Once you arrive at the "Homepage", you will have multiple options for searching our directory. Pick one of the following 4 search paths to find a DJ service in your local area:
- Click on a STATE or PROVINCE on the map.
- Type in a KEYWORD or PHRASE in the "Keyword Search" box located below the map.
- Search by a ZIP CODE or POSTAL CODE in the search box labeled "Zip/Postal code", located below the map.
- Use the "1-Click Quick City Search". Simply click on the city closest to the location you are searching for a DJ. We only listed the top 100 cities, so if your city or location does not appear, please use the map to do your search.
I made a selection and nothing happened?
The site is designed to work on all computers and browsers for PC and MAC. Make sure you have the latest version of your browsers software. If you continue to have a problem, contact us.
I clicked on a State/Province on the map and nothing happened?
An alternative to clicking on the “flash map”, is choosing a State or Province from the list just below the map. This will bypass the “flash map” and get you onto the next step. Note: One reason the “flash map” selection was rejected might be that your system is using an older operating system or your browser’s software is old. Check that you have the latest version of the browser software by going to that companies website (MS Internet Explorer (IE), Firefox, Safari, etc.). Most browser upgrades and downloads are free.
Do I need to join and become a member?
No. Memberships are reserved for Entertainment service related business that would like to have their company information in our directory for you to see. All visitors are free to view the site without telling us who you are. Have fun!But, we strongly recommend that you fill out the "FREE PRICE QUOTE" form so you can obtain a FREE price quote from our preferred members in your service area.
My local city is not listed, what do I do?
All major cities and cities within 50 miles from the next largest city are listed in our database. If your city is not listed, select the nearest city to your local area. Services available in your area will be listed in the next closest cities search results.
There are no listings (or just a few) under the search for my city?
Some of the smaller cities have a smaller list available because many of the companies elect to list their company in larger cities. Do a new search, by clicking on the “New Search” button at the top right corner of the page. Select the next closest city in your area.
The company I’m searching for is not listed?
DiscJockeys.com has the most comprehensive database of DJ services in the USA and Canada. It’s up to each company or service to login, create an account, and submit their information into our database. If they are not in here, they are one of just a few that have not taken the time to log on and sign up. Please contact us and we will help you locate them: click here.
Why aren't the email addresses displayed in the listings?
Email addresses are not displayed so we can protect our vendors from spammers and unwanted emails. If you would like to send that vendor an email message, simply click on the "Contact us" link in their listing. A form will appear. Fill this out and submit it. Your message will be sent directly to that vendor just like an email. View an array of
photos from that companies events and services available to you. Click
on the button, within their ad, and a pop-up page will appear with
photos from their past events. See sample here.
How can I get the phone number for a company I want to contact now?
Click on the "View Phone Number" link in their listing. A box will appear with that vendors phone number. When you call, tell them you show their listing on DiscJockeys.com. Thanks!
Why do some listings appear larger than others in a search?
Each company has the option to display their listing where and how they choose by the listing package they purchase. The more expensive listing packages provide a company with a larger ad and greater exposure to promote their company to you. We suggest you choose the top listings before deciding to contact the members with listings with one line of information.
I contacted one of the companies listed in the search results and they have not replied yet, why?
DiscJockeys.com is solely a directory and is not responsible for the actions taken, or not taken in this case, by any company that has elected to list their business in our directory. All we can tell you is to try again, maybe they did not receive your message, it happens! We suggest, if they do not respond within a few days, try contacting another company. Do a new search to see other companies available in your local area.
What is the “Get-A-Quote”* link that appears in some listings? This is a simple inquiry form that appears (as a pop-up box) for you to fill out regarding the specific details about your upcoming event, so the company can check their availability for your event date and provide you with their best price quote. See sample here. Once you have completed the form, click on the “Submit” button, located at the bottom of the form. Your information will be delivered directly (via e-mail) to that specific company only, privately! Depending on the company, expect a reply, from that company, within 24 hours. In most cases, they will respond quickly.
What is the “Photo Gallery”* button that appears in some listings?
View an array of photos from that companies events and services available to you. Click on the button, within their ad, and a pop-up page will appear with photos from their past events. See sample here.
What is the “Video Gallery”* button that appears in some listings?
Vendors who purchase our top listing packages will be able to display and share videos from past events. Click
on the "Video" button, within their ad, and a pop-up page will appear with videos to choose from.
