Sugar foot DJs creates fun, personalized parties
If youre ready to put your dancing shoes on let Sugar Foot DJs supply the party. Sugar Foot DJs, owned by Katy Rudders and her husband Greg Sabo, is based at Jackson, but offers services to residents from Massachusetts to Maryland.
Rudders said she has been in the music entertainment business since she was five years old when she worked for her fathers band. Later in life Rudders started her own country western band, which performed for private parties and fundraisers, and also open for several country artists.
Sabo started out of business by helping his wife to the lighting, sound and managerial work for the band Rudders said during the band breaks her husband would D. J. an eventually the D.J. aspect of the music just took over.
Rudders said she has fun every day at her job and the guests also have fun.
Its wonderful. Every day is a party. Its a great job she added about being in the business.
The Sugar Foot DJs has equipment to handle any size party, from a backyard barbecue with twenty guests, two outdoor fairgrounds with hundreds of attendants.
The D.J. company hosts affairs for people of all ages and all styles, including weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, childrens birthday parties, anniversary parties, corporate banquets, senior citizen events, sweet sixteen and school dances.
We can do anything, backyard party to an elegant event so were diversified Rudders said.
Sugar Foot DJs offers numerous services in addition to playing music, including face painting, pony rides, trivia and movie games, bubble and smoke machines, light shows, clowns and magic shows.
The company can also accommodate parties such as a fifties bash, a western hoedown or a Hawaiian luau.
Depending on what the theme is we give out props and giveaways for that party", Rudders said.
For example, for a country themed party, Rudders said she would give out Sheriffs badges, cowboy hats and bandanas. For a Hawaiian luau, leis, inflatable guitars and grass skirts will be available. For a childrens party Rudders gives away beach balls and glow necklaces, and for a 50s party HULA hoops and yo yos are available.
We do everything from the ground up whatever kind of theme theyre looking for we design it from the ground up. Its really very specialized for the customer wants for their party, she said.
The DJ company can provide snacks for all occasions including hot dog wagons, Margarita machines, snow cones, ice cream, Italian ice, cotton candy and popcorn machines.
As for the music, Sugar Foot DJs can accommodate any genre of music, from the swinging styles of the nineteen forties to todays hits, and even Disney music for children.
We don't have other DJs. We design your party along with you, so every party is very personalized, Rudders said.
To make the evening even more memorable Rudders and Sabo have plenty of party favors to go around including inflatable instruments, hats, beaded necklaces, tattoos, noise makers sunglasses, key chains and jump ropes.
We can get any kind of giveaways or party favors that you need. We basically just do whatever kind of party youre looking for, Rudders said.
